Personality
Kumiko is a rather unfriendly creature and definitely a more malevolent kitsune. She is sadistic and cruel, loving to stalk humans before luring them away to hurt them, torture them or any other sort of horrible thing. She derives much pleasure from doing horrible things to humans. She’s not above killing humans for entertainment.
She is rather egotistical and has a bit of a superiority complex when it comes to other kitsune, even those who are older and more powerful than she is. Because of this, she doesn’t tend to get along with other kitsune well. Okay, she thinks she’s better than pretty much everyone, so she isn’t too good at making friends in general. She doesn’t care though.
Kumiko is rather promiscuous and seductive. Even though she isn’t too fond of humans, she loves to seduce and sleep with human women and she is not above taking advantage of them when they are intoxicated. She’s gotten rather clever at convincing women to have sex with her, a skill she’s quite proud of. She will take on a full human form and frequent clubs and bars to pick up drunk women. She never develops any emotional attachments to these women however. She just enjoys having sex with them.
Despite her malevolent nature, Kumiko does have a kinder side, but only one creature sees it and that’s the nekomata, Kazuko. She has a fondness for the nekomata. Part of this could be because Kazuko greatly admires her and is willing to do anything she says and addresses her with the “-sama” suffix. But she definitely does care for Kazuko, as she will attack anyone who tries to harm her.

Powers and Abilities
Kumiko's strengths lie in her illusionary and possession techniques. She loves to use these to her advantage, especially when it comes to terrorising humans.
With her illusionary magic, she will find out a person’s fear and use her magic to create that fear. When she does this, she’s in more of a playful mood (though still rather sadistic, taking great pleasure in their terror). She can change a person's surroundings to amplify that fear.
Her possession tactics tend to be more harmful than her illusions. Most of the time she will simply use her magic to take full possession of a person’s body. She will make them do rather terrible and dangerous things, usually getting them into much trouble with authorities. There are times where she will take the form of a person she’s killed in secret, and live out their life for a short time, though this normally means being cruel to people that the victim knew. After a couple of days, she’ll release possession of her victim, usually in front of the victims family and friends, so that she may proudly announce that she killed the victim and was using their corpse for her entertainment. She then takes off, cackling.
In terms of her shapeshifting, Kumiko also excels. She has great control of herself in most situations and can refrain from accidentally revealing her fox features as a human. She needs to be able to do this so as to remain undetected while at bars and clubs and such. The only time where she can involuntarily reveal fox features is during sex.
Kumiko doesn't utilise her foxfire a lot, though she can still be quite formidable with it if she wants to be. She mainly uses it for intimidation purposes and, in human form, may accidentally reveal herself when she gets too angry as her foxfire will appear around her.

Back Story
As a normal fox, Kumiko's life was relatively average until the day she was caught in a human trap. Being carried away by human men, Kumiko panicked, unsure of what would happen to her. Chances were, they planned to kill her, but Kumiko didn't stick around long enough to find out, miraculously managing to escape.
Being a forest fox, she was not used to being in human civilisation. She panicked more, unable to find her way around. In the end, she was hit by a car.
She survived, taken in by the person who had hit her. He tried to care for her, but Kumiko would have none of it, biting at the man whenever he tried to get close. Eventually, Kumiko was sent to a vet.
After spending many long days in the vet clinic, Kumiko was released back into the wild. She spent several years watching humans from a distance, watching them with their cats and their dogs. Kumiko never understood why any animal would allow themselves to be cared for by a human.
Kumiko found herself in other situations where humans ended up trying to kill her (though, it was generally because she would try to steal food from them).
As she grew older, she grew smarter, eventually becoming a kitsune and gaining supernatural power. With this power, she figured she would use it to her advantage. She picked up illusionary skills before anything else and used these skills to terrorise the man who hit her with his car (and took her in). She then found the men who had taken her away from her home in the first place, and terrorised them too. Basically, she terrorised anyone who had tried to kill her or otherwise harm her.
Many years later, after becoming a more powerful kitsune, Kumiko saved a cat who had just become a nekomata from being killed by her owners, who now feared her. Kumiko sympathised with the nekomata, named Kazuko. The two have been best friends ever since.

Ongoing Story
Terrorising humans is one of Kumiko’s favourite things to do. She will stalk potential targets before luring them away, then doing presumably horrible things to them. Depending on her mood, it can range from simply scaring them using illusionary magic, letting them escape unharmed, to actually attacking them and hurting them. If she’s in a particularly bad mood, she may outright kill a human.
She’s not much better when it comes to beautiful women. As mentioned, she’ll find women she can seduce and she’s not above taking advantage of intoxicated women. When she does this, she’s in a full human form and may dress more casually and modern, so as not to raise suspicion. After having her way with a woman (or women), she reveals that she’s a kitsune before taking off, again, cackling.
Her friendship with the nekomata Kazuko is a strong one. She sees Kazuko as a little sister of sorts, as well as a good friend. It can seem like she’s rather demanding with her, as she asks Kazuko to do a lot of things for her, but she is willing to do anything that Kazuko wants; it’s just that Kazuko doesn’t ask her do to anything for her.
She and Kazuko share an interest in terrifying humans and they will sometimes spend nights together where they lure humans away to scare them, or play puppets and possession with them (Kazuko can control people like puppets).

Relationships
Kazuko
Kumiko's best friend. She sees the nekomata as a little sister of sorts. Apart from going out to scare humans, the two sometimes spend full days out together in cities, simply enjoying each other's company. They are very close.

Rin
The only reason why Kumiko even visits Rin is to try to sleep with her. Despite Rin's number of tails (only one more than Kumiko, but that still makes her stronger), her timidness and aversion to confrontation makes Kumiko feel like Rin isn't much of a threat.

Miscellaneous Information
♦ She does like to steal from humans. She’ll take anything that interests her. Sometimes she steals from other creatures.
♦ She lives with Kazuko, but they aren’t always seen together. They’ll spend nights on their own without the other, but then they’ll get together and talk about their nights bringing misfortune to humans. |
♦ She enjoys eating human food when she can, but she still likes to hunt with Kazuko. They’ve become used to the taste of cooked meat though, so they aren’t too fond of eating their kill.
